摘要:Process for the preparation of very pure monosulfonic acids of triphenyl-methane dyestuffs by treating a solution of the appropriate color base with aqueous sulfuric acid, filtering the suspension obtained, treating the filter residue with an inert less polar organic solvent which is not miscible with water, and isolating the color base sulfate or diluting the solution of the color base with an inert less polar organic solvent that is not miscible with water, and then treating it with dilute sulfuric acid, filtering the suspension obtained, treating the filter residue consisting substantially of color base sulfate and amine sulfate, and isolating the color base sulfate.
