摘要:PURPOSE:To hold the resolution on a memory constant regardless of whether latitudes on a peripheral surface are high or low by storing information on a large circle in a plane memory and storing information on the same latitude of the spherical surface on the memory plane at an interval on the average. CONSTITUTION:Annular areas of the same latitudes on the spherical surface 11 are all divided into unit areas 12 of the same length and one point on the spherical surface 11 is represented as a latitude (R) from the equator and an angle theta from a reference line 14. Therefore, N unit areas are arranged at the longitude 0 on the spherical surface 11, the number of unit areas decreases as the latitude increases, and there are ni unit areas areas less than N at a latitude ri. Then, unit areas having the angle theta are stored in a memory area 15 at positions corresponding to the angle theta. Consequently, the resolution on the memory is held constant regardless of latitudes on the spherical surface, and the need for a shift ROM is eliminated to simplify the device.
