摘要：PURPOSE:To easily produce the titled composition having low refractive index and high Ca ion exchanging capacity, by mixing an aqueous solution of sodium silicate, an aqueous solution of sodium aluminate and a water-soluble sodium borate at specific molar ratios and subjecting the mixture to hydrothermal crystallization. CONSTITUTION:A specific amount of a water-soluble sodium borate such as sodium (per)borate is added to an aqueous solution of sodium aluminate and the mixture is mixed with an aqueous solution of sodium silicate to obtain a composition of formula (a is 1.0-4.0; b is 2.0-2.8; c is 0.01-0.1; d is 30-75) in terms of molar ratio. The mixed aqueous solution is subjected to hydrothermal crystallization reaction and the resultant slurry is filtered, washed with water and dried to obtain the titled boron-containing composition having low refractive index (1.449-1.461) and suitable as a builder for detergent.
