摘要：PURPOSE:To attain the error detection to all circuits in a storage device by writing a write data just before entering the circuit of a magnetic recording medium storage device into a write memory and comparing it with a read data. CONSTITUTION:A write data from a host-device 1 is inputted to the 1st and 2nd receiver circuits 3, 13 of a magnetic tape storage device 2. Then the data is converted into a write data by a write circuit 4, written on a magnetic tape by a write head 5 and the write data just before entering the device 2 from the circuit 13 is written in the write memory 8. The data read from the memory 8 and a read data by a read head 12, a driver circuit 11 and the 3rd receiver circuit 7 are compared by a comparator 9 and when dissident, an error is informed to the device 1 via a control section 10. The error of all the circuits in the device 2 is detected by the comparison with the write data just before entering the device 2 not with the write data via each circuit of the device 2 to improve the reliability of the device 2.
