摘要：PURPOSE:To reduce a halo at an image plane peripheral part, by attaching a vertical pair of coils to an electron gun side part of a deflecting yoke, and connecting them electrically to a vertical deflecting coil in series or in parallel via a rectifying circuit. CONSTITUTION:Electron guns are disposed side by side in a horizontal direction, and a horizontal deflection magnetic field is formed into pin cushion form and a vertical deflection magnetic field into barrel form, respectively, setting them down to a selfconvergence system, thereby constituting an inline type color picture tube. At this time, a vertical pair of coils 4 rolled on a core 3 are attached to an electron gun side part of a deflecting yoke, and these coils are connected to a pair of vertical deflecting coils 6 in series via a rectifying circuit 5. And, an electric current in an arrow direction is always made to flow into these coils 4, making them generate a quadruple magnetic field 7, whereby such force 8 as diverging in a vertical direction is made to work on an electron beam 2. Therefore, a halo due to astigmatism is sharply reduced, thus high resolution is securable over the whole range of an image plane.
