摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material superior in dimensional stability, quality of negative characters, and exposure latitude and small in pressure desensitization by incorporating a latex having hydrophilic groups fixed to the surface and at least one of soluble rhodium salts and soluble iridium salt in at least one of photographic constituent layers. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the photographic constituent layers contains the latex having the hydrophilic groups fixed to the surface and at least one of soluble rhodium salts and soluble iridium salt. As the polymer having the hydrophilic groups, both of synthetic and natural water-soluble polymers having anionic groups, and nonionic and anionic groups are preferable, and as the synthetic one, ones having repeating units in an amount of 10-100mol%, represented by the formula shown on the right in which R1 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, preferably, having 1-4C, such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, or butyl, halogen, such as chlorine, or -CH2COOMe; L is -CONH-, -NHCO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -CO-, or -O-; and J is optionally substituted alkylene, preferably, having 1-10C. As the soluble rhodium salts and soluble iridium salt, for example, rhodium (III), iridium (III) sodium chloride, iridium (VI) ammonium bromide, and the like are enumerated. They are added, preferably, in an amount of 10<-5>-10<-3>mol% of silver halide.
