摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a recording image which has sufficient density and good stability by ending the contact of a developer which is supplied onto the surface of a developing electrode with the recording surface of a recording body at a position where the developing electrode is in process of approaching the recording surface of the recording body or at the closest position. CONSTITUTION:When a sleeve 13 is at a position where it approaches the recording surface of the recording body or at the closest position, the contact of the developer with the recording surface is ended. For the purpose, the developer carrying speed Vsl of the sleeve 13 in a recording area X is made faster than the developer carrying speed Vmg of a magnetic roller 14 to prevent a developer from remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 13 on the downstream side of the recording area X, i.e. at the closest position x1. The position x2 where the developer finishes the contact with the recording surface of the recording body 1 is inside an electric field area A. Therefore, when the recording body 11 is conveyed as shown by an arrow (c) and enters an area B where there is no influence of an electric field produced by the application of a voltage to the recording electrode 12, no developer contacts the recording surface of the recording body 11.
