摘要：PURPOSE:To effectively achieve a proper skip printing operation in response to the type or printing performance of a printer by providing print processing means for skipping a spacer of a space range or larger decided in response to space width informaton stored in memory means to print when printing a dot pattern. CONSTITUTION:CPU 11 stores data of the number (n) of characters in one line, the lateral width (a) of one character, the interval (b) between the characters and the minimum skip width alpha in registers 18-21, respectively. The constitution of the print block of a character code row of one line can be altered by varying the value of the data alpha of the register 21. Thus, when the printing operation of a printer 14 is executed, the minimum space width of the skip can be arbitrarily set to vary the skipping operation. Accordingly, a proper skip printing operation can be effectively performed in response to the type or printing performance of a printer.
