摘要：<p>PURPOSE:To attain a picture producing system which requires no manual operation with a short time needed for production of information and with high efficiency, by converting automatically a given color picture into the picture information of a colored block style. CONSTITUTION:The picture stored in a picture memory 8 is converted into a color picture including 2 types of colors and stored in a colored block. A statistic measurement part 4 measures a statistic amount equivalent to the adjacency degree on the picture. Based on this statistic amount, a large area color deciding part 5 decides the Y value to be set in response to the large area color over the entire part of a color picture. Based on the Y value, a correspondence deciding part 6 allocates the two Y values to the >=2 types of colors included in each colored block and writes the Y vale corresponding to a color table of each colored block stored in a working memory 11. Then an information extracting part 7 reads out the values of picture elements in the memory 8 for each colored block and produces a Y value table with reference to the color table to store it in the memory 11. Furthermore the color table is rearranged to produce a correspondence table for color values corresponding to Y values of each colored block. Then this correspondence table is stored in the memory 11.</p>
