摘要：<p>PURPOSE:To improve a display characteristic and to facilitate production by laminating a bus bar electrode layer and picture electrode layer spaced from each other at a spacing part on the surface of an insulating substrate, laminating a non-linear characteristic layer on the spacing part and on the part near the spacing part and further laminating a conductor part thereof. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal cell has the picture element electrode layer 2 formed of ITO, etc. and the bus bar electrode layer 3 on the insulating substrate 1. The spacing part 4 is the spacing part between the layer 2 and the layer 3. The non-linear characteristic layer 5 and the conductor layer 6 are provided to said spacing part. The spacing part 4 is determined mainly from the ease of fine working and is about 10-50mum. About 10mum squre is usually enough for the crossing area of the layer 5 and the layer 2 or the layer 3. The occupying area of the layer 5 or non-linear element can be thereby made relatively small. Just two layers of masks are required when the layer 3 and the layer 2 are formed of the same kind of transparent conductive material. the stage is thus made simpler. Silicon and silicon carbide are more preferable in terms of the ease of fine working as the material for forming the layer 5.</p>
