摘要：PURPOSE:To set automatically variable power rate by inputting the length of an original which is found on a scale provided nearby on original platen where the original is set and the length of a necessary copy. CONSTITUTION:The original 1 is placed on the original platen 2 while two sides are positioned as shown in a figure. Then, the scale button 10 on a console panel 5 is pressed to display the scale 11 on a display part 8. Then, the length (22cm in the figure) of the original 1 is found visually and the length of the original 1 and the length of a necessary copy are inputted with a ten-key 7. A CPU which is not shown in the figure computes and sets the variable magnification automatically. Consequently, the need for a scale for length measurement is eliminated and the operation procedure for setting the variable power rate is made efficient.
