摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a tungsten carbide-base sintered hard alloy having excellent resistance to chipping and high strength by heating a WC-base sintered hard alloy material to a prescribed temp., pressing uniaxially the material and subjecting the same to plastic working at a specific reduction ratio. CONSTITUTION:The conventional WC-base sintered hard alloy material of which the main component as a component for forming a dispersion phase is constituted of tungsten carbide and the main component as a component for forming a bond phase is constituted of >=1 kind among ferrous metals is heated to 1,100- 1,450 deg.C. The material is subjected in this state to the plastic working under 10- 200% uniaxial pressurization at the reduction ratio in the pressurizing direction. The resistance to chipping and strength are remarkably improved by the above- mentioned method while the excellent wear resistance is maintained.
