摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain the terminal part which can endure the use in or on the sea for a long period by connecting the outer surface of a metal socket and a corrosionproof layer by a water-shielding layer made of flexible metal. CONSTITUTION:When a wire rope 1 is used in the sea, the existence of a water shielding layer 11 made of flexible metal develops the corrosionproof effect for the intrusion of water into between the wire rope 1 and a metal socket 5. The flexibility is necessary for the following performance to the movement of the wire rope free from destruction in use. The use of metal layer facilitates the connection with the metal socket and prevents the deterioration for the corrosive environment. As the water shielding layer 11 made of flexible metal, used are the single metal such as copper and lead, and a composite film formed through the lamination of the metal foil and a plastic film.
