摘要:PURPOSE:To simplify the connection structure from a high voltage power source, by forming an acceleration electrode from an electric insulating material having volume resistivity of a specific value or more. CONSTITUTION:Each of acceleration electrode 9 is formed of an electric insulating material, for example, a polypropylene resin having volume resistivity of 10<8>OMEGA-cm or more and the ion formed by corona discharge, which is generated by the high electric fields between ionization electrodes 4 and opposed electrodes 5, flows toward the opposed electrodes 5 and, at the same time, is accumulated on the acceleration electrodes 9 comprising the electric insulating material to raise the potential thereof and, as the result thereof, high electric fields are generated between the ionization electrodes 4 and the opposed electrodes 5. By this method, the high voltage output part 10a connected to the ionization electrodes and the earth connection part 10b connected to the opposed electrodes 5 may be only provided to a high voltage power source 10.
