摘要:PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of a recess occurring at the bottom during caulking and obtain a flat battery with a good appearance by forming a tapered section that is narrowed toward the bottom on the external wall of a positive electrode armored can. CONSTITUTION:A tapered section 11C that is narrowed from an intermediate section toward the bottom is formed in advance on the external wall of a positive electrode armored can 11 and the outside dimensions of the bottom is set smaller to approximately 97 to 99.6% of the completed dimensions. A negative electrode sealing plate 16 is loaded on the internal wall of this positive electrode armored can 11 through an insulating packing 12 and is fit in a caulking mold 21. When the opening section of the positive electrode armored can 11 is caulked inward and sealed, material escapes toward the bottom, but the material flowing into the tapered section 11C is absorbed in a gap between the tapered section 11C and the caulking mold 21. As a result, an adverse effect on the bottom can be prevented and a flat type battery without the generation of a recess at the bottom can be formed.
