摘要：PURPOSE:To detect the position of a welded parr at a high accuracy by measuring the distribution vertical to the welding line with an infrared sensor array concerning infrared rays radiated from a surface near the welded part. CONSTITUTION:Infrared rays are radiated in the distribution close to the normal distribution from near welded parts 2a immediately after the welding. Infrared sensor elements are arranged parallel the welding. Infrared sensor elements are arranged parallel with the surface of material to be welded while vertical to the welding line to form an infrared sensor array 8. This infrared sensor array 8 is used to detect the intensity distribution of infrared ray radiation via a lens system 9 and a chopper 10. This enables a highly accurate detection of welded parts even if there exists no welded part at the center of the bead cut section 3a.
