摘要：The invention relates to a method and apparatus for wrapping pipe (10) with a cementatious material (14) wherein the wrapping strip (12) is provided with notches (19) along the edges (21) thereof which interlock along the wrapping seam about the pipe (10) to provide an even coating. Where reinforcing mesh (16) is provided within the coating material (14) the mesh (16) also overlaps at the wrapping seam (20) to give greater strength to the coating. Compacting of the coating material (14) is accomplished after the pipe (10) is wrapped by means of a vibrating shoe (25).
