摘要：PURPOSE:To line up banknotes in each cash box to make it possible to stack up the banknotes for storage, by providing a banknote line-up menas in a part of a transfer path between a separating and feeding section and a cash box which is nearest to the banknote feed-out side of an identifying section. CONSTITUTION:A banknote 44 fed onto a transfer path from a separating and feeding section is fed into a space between guides 30, 31 and an aligner drum 28. Further, the banknote is pressed against the drum 28 by means of an aligner roller 39 which receives a force from a pressure spring 40, and is then fed into an identifying section due to the rotation of the drum 28. At this time the roller 39 is inclined at a twist angle theta with respect to the direction of feed of the banknote 44 by the force of an aligner spring 41, and therefore, if the banknote 44 transferred by the drum 28 skews and laterally shifts, the banknote 44 is pressed against the surface of the flange 29, that is, the reference position side, by the friction force of the roller 39 overcoming the friction force of the drum 28, and therefore, the lateral shift and skew of the banknote may be corrected.
