摘要：PURPOSE:To allow a pickup to reach a destination by one jump by converting the difference in address between the current position and destination of the pickup directly into the number of tracks that the pickup jumps over. CONSTITUTION:A track number converter 11 converts the address difference between the current position and destination into the number of tracks, a conversion table register 12 is stored with a conversion table between addresses of preset principal points and the numbers of tracks, and a coefficient register 13 is stored with gradient coefficients for approximation among the principal points. The converter 11 uses the data in the registers 12 and 13 when calculating the number of tracks that the pickup jumps over. Namely, the register 12 sets addresses of principal points t1-t5 to calculate and store the corresponding numbers n1-n5 of tracks on the basis of a specific equation. Further, the principal points are approximated with straight lines and gradient coefficients a1-a5 are stored in he register 13. The converter 11 reads necessary data out of the register 12 and 13 and performs arithmetic to calculate the number of tracks to be jumped.
