摘要：PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a slope detection means at the demodulation side by providing the slope detection means changing the quantized width adaptively to the modulator side only in the adaptive delta modulation system. CONSTITUTION:An input analog signal is branched into two at the modulation side; one is sent to a path of an error detector 21, a comparator 22 and a latch 23 for the delta modulation, the other branched signal is sent to the slope detector 30 for the adaptive control, its output signal controls a local composite device for the adaptive operation. Further, an output of the slope detector 3 is digitized, subject to PCM modulation and the result is sent to the demodulation side. The demodulation side demodulates the output of the slope detector 30 subject to PCM modulation and the result is used for the demodulation of the adaptive delta modulation data.
