摘要：The invention relates to a process for the differentiated dyeing of veneers and can be used in particular for the finishing of veneers up to a thickness of 0.8 mm. The aim is to finish inexpensive veneers with little or no decoration to upgrade them to the quality of fine-wood veneers. To this end, the object was to dye the veneer in a differentiated manner throughout the entire cross-section, emphasising its texture. The veneers, which are to be dyed in a way known per se with aqueous dye solutions, are subjected to a hot-water treatment at 40 to 98 DEG C for 5 to 60 minutes immediately before their contact with the dye solution. The upgraded veneers obtained are intended for use as a face veneer for furniture and interior fittings.
