摘要：PURPOSE:To increase the life performance of a negative electrode plate, which is prepared by packing an active material into a porous sintered nickel plate, by minimizing the reduction of the active material by immersing the negative plate in an aqueous solution so as to impregnate the negative plate with water, and immersing a part of the negative plate in an acid solution. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode plate 1 prepared by packing an active material into a porous sintered nickel plate, is immersed in an aqueous solution so as to make it to be impregnated with water. Next, a side peripheral part of the plate 1 impregnated with water which has a height of around 10mm. in its width direction, is immersed in a nitric-acid solution 2. Then, the plate 1 is formed in an alkali solution by the conventional method. After that, the plate 1 is washed with water and dried so as to make a negative electrode plate. As a result, any reduction of the life performance is prevented by minimizing the reduction of the active material by immersing a part of the plate 1 in the acid solution. Besides, negative electrode plates with various small-variation rapid charge-and-discharge performances can be easily obtained by only controlling the area of each plate immersed in the acid solution.
