摘要：PURPOSE:To save energy required for maintenance of lubricating oil, by recirculating oil to a compressor after carrying a portion of oil to a water separator for separating water therein. CONSTITUTION:Air 31 drawn into a compressor 1 is carried into an oil separator 3 via a discharge pipe 2 and then discharged to the outside from an outlet port 5 after oil contained in the air 31 is separated by an oil separating element 4 in the oil separator 3. On the other hand, oil 32 is recirculated from an oil sump 6 in the oil separator 3 to the compressor 1 via an oil outlet port 7, piping 8 and oil cooler 10. Here, a part of oil 32 is passed to a water separator 17 via a piping 14, Y-strainer 15 and orifice 16 and then carried back to the piping 11 after water contained in oil 32 is separated by the water separator 17. In the above arrangement, the optimum rate of the amount of oil passed per minute to the water separator 17 to the total amount of oil circulated through the compressor is about 6-20%.
