摘要:PURPOSE:To prolong the life of diode by a method wherein the bias current to be supplied for the semiconductor laser diode is disconnected when there is no digital output to be transmitted for the specified time. CONSTITUTION:The gate 101, the switch circuit 102 comprising the transistor Q1 and Q2, the bias current circuit 104 including the transistor Q3, the PIN diode 105 connected in inverse parallel and the semiconductor laser diode 103 are provided on the space between the signal DOS to be transmitted and the photo fiber generating the photo output to be transmitted. On the other hand, the series circuit to the comparator 107 and the smooth circuit 106 is connected to the wiring between the circuit 104 and the diode group. Through these procedures, when the signal DOS is being transmitted, the photo fiber 108 coupled with the diode 103 generates the signal output and when the signal output is disconnected, said photo fiber 108 transmits the signal output from the retriggerble oneshot multiplexer 301 shunted from the signal DOS to the transistor Q3 through the intermediary of the gate 302 disconnecting the bias current to the diode group.
