摘要：Moranolines (I; R = H, Me, Et, Ph) useful as blood sugar lowering agent, were prepd. Thus, 3.0 g N-β-hydroxyethyltetra-o-benzylmoranoline was heated in 10 ml thionylchloride and 20 ml toluene was added. The result residue in 10 ml methylcellusolve was refluxed with 500 mg thiourea and 10 ml 10% NaOH was added to give I (R = H).
