摘要：<p>A fuel mixt. for spark ignition engines comprises at least two cpds. of the gp. prim. and sec. alcohols (pref. 40-90 wt.% of the mixt.), ketones (pref. 5-25 wt.%) ethers (pref. 1-10 wt.%), and aromatic hydrocarbons (pref. 5-25 wt.%). A mixt. of alcohols in the range C1-C6 may be used as the alcohol. Antiknock and other additives may be present. Suitable additives include isooctane, tetramethyl lead, tetraethyl lead, propylene glycol oleate and propylene glycol laurate. The mixt. replaces normal or super petrol by readily available organic prods. without using natural petroleum fractions. The energy yield is no less than from natural petrol.</p>
