摘要：<p>The fastener for a watch bracelet comprises a curved metal plate (9), one end of which is bent to form an open hook (3) which may loop over one of the bars (15) across the end of the watch. The other end of the plate is more tightly rolled to grip the next part of the bracelet (12). Attached to the main plate at this second end is a spring plate (6) which extends along underneath the main plate. The free end (8) of the spring plate is folded back between the two plates, urging them apart and effectively closing the open hook (3). A sleeve (13) fits around the two plates and is able to slide along them. In one position it allows the spring to urge the plates apart, while in its other position it compresses the spring to open the hook.</p>
