摘要:PURPOSE:To provide a super-plastic metallic material consisting of a predetermined percentage each of Ti and Cu and the balance Fe, showing abnormally large elongation at high temp., capable of being deformed by low fluidizing stress, and having high strength at ordinary temp. CONSTITUTION:An alloy consisting of 1-2wt% Ti, 30-70wt% Cu and the balance Fe is melted and rapidly cooled to form fine powder. This powder is compacted, sintered, and hot forged to obtain the desired super-plastic metallic material having a density close to true density. Since this material has superior hot formability, parts of complex shape difficult to forge can be formed easily by using this material. Because of the high ordinary temp. strength this material can be forged into parts having sufficient strength.
