摘要：PURPOSE:To manufacture ferromagnetic, long continuous material having uniform initial magnetic permeability over sufficient length, by measuring the initial magnetic permeability of a ferromagnetic, long continuous material before and after heat treatment continuously, and by controlling the heat treatment temp. so that the initial permeability may attain the desired value. CONSTITUTION:Wire rod 1 is passed through exciting coils 3, 4 which are generating magnetic field, and signals proportional to the detected initial magnetic permeability mu are digitized and these signals are fed to a computer 15 by phase-tracking rectifiers combined with AD converters 13, 14. The furnace 2 is controlled in such a way that a portion of the wire rod 1, where a signal proportional to the mu is measured by the coil 5, may attain a prescribed temp. when it arrives at the furnace 2. Subsequently, the signal proportional to the mu of the wire rod 1 having been heat treated at said temp. is measured by a coil 7. On the basis of the result, the relation of mu before and after heat treatment, for which the temp. stored in the computer 15 seves as a parameter, is corrected at need. As a result, the scattering of mu over very long portion of the wire rod is reduced remarkably.
