摘要：PURPOSE:To manufacture wire rod having uniform rate of propagation for sound wave efficiently, by equipping a means which controls annealing conditions by measuring the rate of sound wave propagation of the wire rod before and after an annealing furnace located between the supplying section and receiving section for the wire rod. CONSTITUTION:Long-sized wire rod 100 is annealed continuously in an annealing furnace 103 arranged between a supplying section 101 and a receiving section 102 for long-sized wire rod 100. Measuring means for the rate of sound wave propagation are set at positions where the wire rod passes before and after it passes the annealing furnace, or at one of side positions, hereby the time required for the sound wave to propagate a region of the moving long wire rod 100 is measured. The measured values are sent to a control section 108 thereby controlling the temp. of the annealing furnace 103 every moment. This mechanism allows to correct the annealing conditions in a short time and to improve control precision, hence long wire rod having high uniformity in the rate of sound wave propagation is manufactured by nondestructive measurement.
