摘要：<p>Weft-break detector for a circular loom comprises a generator with the shuttle which produces a signal when the weft breaks or is exhausted, and a stationary detector on the loom which responds to the signal regardless of the position of the shuttle in the circular shuttle race. Generator produces either an ultrasonic signal, or pref. a r.f. signal, which is relayed to the detector by means of a circular aerial concentric with the shuttle and which causes the loom to be switched off. System provides continuous monitoring of a number of shuttles and has an extremely rapid response to a weft break.</p>
