摘要：Surface aerator for liquids, especially for the purification of sewage subjected to a treatment of digestion by microorganisms, comprises a disc (1) provided with a central cone (3) whose apex points downwards by being immersed and blades (5) arranged on the peripheral annular part of the disc. To lower the energy needed to operate the aerator, the latter comprises, behind at least some of its blades in relation to the direction of rotation, two orifices (9, 10) passing completely through the thickness of the said annular part of the disc. Air drawn through the said orifices (9, 10), by virtue of the partial vacuum prevailing on the rear side of the blades (5), is stored under the aerator, where it takes on the shape of a cone (13) substantially coaxial with the cone (3) of the aerator, and this makes it possible to lower the energy consumption of the latter. <IMAGE>
