摘要：<p>A window frame is made from extruded aluminium section (1) in the form of a square box section (2) with an extended arm(4) which forms the abutment for a hinged window. The box section has a gap in its upper surface to receive a sealing strip. The box section also has a number of inwardly projecting ribs (5, 9, 10, 11, 12) which grip the thermal insulation material (13) which is pushed in from one end of the section. After insertion of this thermal insulation, a longitudinal slit is cut between the ribs to break the thermal conduction path of the metal section.</p>
