摘要：<p>The device for fixing a frame, esp. window frame, in an opening in a wall, consists of a perforated fishplate with a piece fitted with spikes for driving into the frame. It is made in two parts, so that the fishplate (1) and the spiked piece (3) are detachably joined to each other and can swivel in relation to each other. The spiked piece can be inserted in one of the holes (4) in the fishplate, which pref. has such a hole at each end. It may have at least four holes (6) for steel pins to be driven through, and four larger holes (7) for screws, all symmetrically arranged. The spikes (2) can be square in cross-section. The ability to swivel simplifies fixture esp. in soft materials, enabling suitable points to be selected, and avoiding areas where there are cables or pipes.</p>
