摘要：PURPOSE:To form a required clearance between a detecting electrode and a disc surface during playing by depositing the signal detecting electrode on the reproducing stylus body by way of a material layer which is easier to wear than the reproducing stylus body and is higher in specific rsistance than the signal detecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer 6 of silicon oxide which is easier to wear than the recording stylus body 1 of high hardness and high abrasion resistance such as sapphire or the like and is larger in specific resistance than a signal detecting electrode 2 is formed by vapor deposition or the like on said body and the electrode 2 by sputtering of a specified thickness such as titanium or the like is deposited on the layer 6. If with this constitution the sliding face of the stylus 1 is pressure- contactedly installed on the surface of a disc D by way of pickup arms 5, 5, the end face 2a of the layer 6 and electrode 2 wears and the end face 2a is detached by a spacing l from the surface of the disc D during playing and does not therefore make contact to the surface of the disc D, thus creating the stable reproduction state. In addition, because of the high specific resistance, the production of noise, etc. owing to the connection of the layer 6 and disc surface is obviated.
