摘要：<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the network management by providing a path identifier defined uniquely corresponding to the line of its own station to each packet exchange and describing the relay path information set to each packet while using the path identifier of each packet exchange. CONSTITUTION:A packet exchange 2 sets a path identifier 3 corresponding to a received path to an area pointed out by a pointer P of a packet and sends the results to paths R1, R2. In this case, the path identifier 1 is set to the packet sent to the path R1 and the path identifier 2 is set to the packet sent to the path R2. In this case, the pointer P is incremented by 1. The similar processing is executed by packet exchanges 4, 3 and when the identifier arrives in the packet terminal 6, the relay path information is to be set. Thus, the packet terminal equipment 6 acquires the relay path information to a reception terminal equipment 5 by receiving the said packet and the terminal equipment 5 obtains the relay path information to the terminal equipment 6 by sending a packet to the transmission terminal equipment 5 through the use of the relay path information.</p>
