摘要：1523558 Gaming machines BALLY MFG CORP 19 April 1977 [17 May 1976] 16228/77 Heading G4V A game apparatus having symbol-bearing members, preferably reels 13, utilizes a random number generator for determining the stopping positions of the reels. A number may be generated which corresponds to a position of the reels, or; a separate number may be generated for the stopping position of each reel, Fig. 5 (not shown). Associated with each reel is a selector disc 41. Each reel also has holes therein so that its position can be monitored during rotation, so that it can be stopped by mechanism 42, and its stopped position also checked. Photoelectric means are used. The instantaneous positions are determined by address sectors 54, checking being triggered by a tuning slot 58. Sectors 55 are used for checking the stopped positions of the reel. Payout does not occur if the stop positions predetermined by the random generator and the actual stop positions do not coincide. Means may be provided whereby accepted coins during a game are all passed either to a payout hopper or a coin drop box if the hopper is full at the start of the game.
