摘要:<p>The method is for measuring the specific resistance of the top layer of the ground using a specially designed thin probe and two additional separate electrodes (6, 7). At least two thirds of the probe are covered with an insulating coat and the non-insulated metallic portion at the lower end is at least 15 cm long. The conducting portion of the probe is a tube with a max. diameter of 10 mm. A known alternating current (i) is passed between the first electrode (6) and the probe using the source (8) and a meter (9). The voltage (E) between the nearer electrode (7) and the probe is measured using the meter (10). The specific resistance (rho) is given by rho = f.E/i where f is a constant for the probe, and E and i are the a.c. voltage and current respectively.</p>
