摘要：<p>Physical training appts. has a lever pivoted by a bolt at one end to a rigid support. A weight is suspended by a rod from a tubular fitting which can slide on the lever. A stay consisting of a rod and a tube is connected by a bolt to the connecting piece. The other end of the stay is connected to the rigid support by a bolt. The person using the appts. bends his knees so that his shoulder can be placed underneath the curved extension of the lever. The user then rises up and pushes the lever upwards. This causes the weight to slide towards the curved end and reduce the mechanical advantage of the lever. This means that the effort exerted by the user is correspondingly increased.</p>
