摘要：<p>Grooved paper web dehydrating cylinder is cleaned by introducing a rigid tool into the groove and the cleaning process is effected mechanically moving the tool relatively w.r.t. the rotating cylinder. Pref. the tool is moved axially of the cylinder at a rate which corresp. to the rotation of the helically grooved cylinder. In the case of multi-pitched cylinder a corresp. number of tools is mounted adjacent each other at distances corresp. to the pitch. The tools which may operate in association with a grinding wheel may be biased towards the periphery of the cylinder by balance wts.</p>
