摘要：The paints consist of solns. of coal tar pitch of softening point (Kramer-Sarnow) of 130 degrees-150 degrees C, with addition of nitrogen-free petroleum pitch of softening point 60 degrees-70 degrees C and content of high-molecular aromatic cpds. of less than 7%, pref. 3-5%. Ratio of coal tar to petroleum pitch is from 2:8 to 7:3 and the mixture may be adjusted with plasticiser to a softening point of 70 degrees-110 degrees C before soln. e.g. in heavy benzole. They may be used as unfilled primer coats, or as filled intermediate and top coats for corrosion protection.
