摘要：PURPOSE:To shorten a time necessary for focusing at the time of attaching or detaching a conversion lens by allowing an arithmetic processing means to start the arithmetic operation on the basis of the position data of a variable power lens and a focusing lens just before starting attaching or detaching the conversion lens with a conversion lens attaching and detaching signal and moving the focusing lens. CONSTITUTION:The video camera is provided with a storing means where the respective position data of the variable power lens 4 and the focusing lens 5 just before starting attaching or detaching the conversion lens 10 by which photographing in a lens focal distance area different from a usual zoom range can be possible is written, and the arithmetic processing means for calculating the moving quantity of the focusing lens 5 necessary for focusing just after completing attaching or detaching the conversion lens 10 on the basis of the respective position data. Then, the arithmetic processing means starts the arithmetic operation with the conversion lens attaching or detaching signal and the focusing lens 5 is moved on the basis of the arithmetically operated result. Thus, the time necessary for focusing is shortened at the time of switching the lens.
