摘要：<p>The surface has an upright basket rotating on a vertical shaft. The basket opens conically upwards and is fitted with a sieve. On a hub projecting into the basket there is an accelerator dish, with a number of distributor pegs arranged parallel to the axis of rotation, and close to the inner wall of the dish. From beneath the accelerator dish, an accelerator bell extends downwards opening conically towards the bottom of the basket. This bell acts as a preliminary separator and has drains to waste the 'green liquor', the bottom of the basket serving as a washing zone. Some distance from the upper rim of the basket, a damming ring is arranged to form with the rim an outlet slot for the sugar. This slot faces the flange of a delivery ring rotating synchronously with the basket on an inclined axis. The delivery ring can be lifted and lowered and positions the outlet for the sugar at a definite point where a collector causing no damage, connects to the basket. A continuously working centrifuge ensuring an economical output per unit of time, of white sugar of good and consistent quality, without syrup residues and without damage to the crystalline structure. The quality of the sugar can be supervised constantly during prodn.</p>
