摘要：<p>Signals to be recorded pass through a compressor of a compander unit, whose output is connected to the input of a signal circuit supplying the recording head and the level meter. Output signals of the reproduction circuit pass through the expander of the compander unit. The expander has an auxiliary channel whose output is connected to the output of the main channel with linear frequency characteristic, so that the signal compression is cancelled. Output signal of the expander auxiliary channel is applied during reproduction to the recording signal circuit connected to the compander output, with such phase and polarity, that amplitude reduction due to expansion is compensated in the recording signal circuit.</p>
