摘要：<p>The escutcheon plate for the handles on a fireproof door is used with another to form a pair, one each side of the door, concealing screws which pass through the door to engage nuts at the other end, also concealed. These plates also conceal a metal plate each side which enclose in turn plastics members through which the screws and nuts pass. The nut is an internally threaded sleeve with a countersunk head and screwdriver slot at the outer end. This fits into a plastics sleeve with a smaller dia. part at its inner end to grip the screw. This sleeve is part of a ring shaped member. In another design for a plate which also incorporates a keyhole, two plastics sleeves extend inwards and grip between them a sleeved unit, into which a screw is inserted from each end.</p>
