摘要：<p>L-Glutamic acid and its Na salt are prepd. by cultivating Micrococcus glutamicus under aerobic conditions on a nutrient medium contg. C- and N-sources and mineral salts; treating culture liquor to ppte. the bio-mass; removing coloured impurities; boiling down soln obtd. acidifying to pH 3-3.2.and separating end-prod. Strain Micrococcus glutamicus "WN II genetika" 3144, (I), is used. (I) is derived from strain Micrococcus glutamicus WN II genetika" 490 by multi-step selection using mutagenic factors, ethyl sulphate and UV rays. Use of (I) increases cell productivity, stability to inhibiting activity of biotin and end-prod. yield. Duration of fermentation process is reduced.</p>
