摘要：<p>The moisture is condensed from the air in the enclosure in a system which incorporates a heat exchanger. The air flows through one side of the heat exchanger where it is precooled and some condensation can take place. On leaving the heat exchanger, the air is sub-cooled by passing through a refrigeration system which condense further moisture. The fully cooled air passes in countercurrent through the other side of the heat exchanger and is warmed by exchange with the incoming air. The recuperator is in the form of a plate heat exchanger, in which a pak of parallel plates enclose the passages for the two streams which flow in alternate passages. The wide passages are divided up by longitudinal baffles into smaller parallel passages. Preheated air leaving the recuperator is raised to the finally required temp. by passing through a heat exchanger in which the recompressed refrigerant is condensed. The temp. is controlled by partial condensation of the refrigerant in a water cooled condenser. The air is exhausted conventionally, e.g. by a fan. The dehumidifier can be mass produced, and the required duty is achieved by using multiple units. The equipment is made in the form of a readily moveable packaged system. The energy consumption is minimised using a recuperator. The required air temp. and humidity can be achieved regardless of outside atmospheric conditions. The system is safe in operation having a low fire and accident risk, and achieves a high efficiency in relation to its cost.</p>
