摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of performing a pretreatment operation and a leveling operation also when recording images in a recording medium while a medium setting section relatively reciprocally moves with respect to a recording section and executing a discharge operation by separating the discharge operation from the leveling operation.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a medium setting section 3 to which a recording medium M is set; a recording section for recording images in the recording medium M set to the medium setting section 3; and a medium moving section for reciprocally moving the medium setting section with respect to the recording section. The recording section includes: a pretreatment section 22 for imparting pretreatment liquid to the recording medium M when the medium setting section 3 moves in a first direction D1; a leveling section 23 which is provided on a downstream side of the pretreatment section 22 in the first direction D1 to level a recording object surface Ma of the recording medium M when the medium setting section 3 moves in the first direction D1; and a discharge section 21 for imparting ink to the leveled recording object surface Ma when the medium setting section 3 moves in a second direction D2.
