摘要：A wireless communication system wherein settings and security can be easily executed. At each of an access point apparatus (1) and a client apparatus (2), a common setting information generation key is recorded in advance. The access point apparatus (1) uses both the setting information generation key recorded in a recording medium of the access point apparatus (1) and the MAC address thereof to generate a network identification name. The client apparatus (2) determines, based on the MAC address calculated from both the network identification name acquired from the access point apparatus (1) and the setting information generation key recorded in a recording medium of the client apparatus (2), the access point apparatus (1) to be connected. In addition, the access point apparatus (1) and client apparatus (2) use the respective common setting information generation keys to perform respective common calculation processings to generate respective common network keys. Therefore, a user need not designate the access point apparatus (1) to be connected and need not set the network key.
