摘要：<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor access to a low-speed bus, such as a DDC bus, in the digital connection of an HDMI/DVI, or the like, and to control power supply to a reception means (TMDS receiver) according to the presence or absence of the access to the low-speed bus. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 10 is connected to an output device 20 via a digital transmission line 30 including a digital signal transfer bus 31 and the DDC bus 32 having a transmission speed that is slower than that of the digital signal transfer bus 31. The display device 10 comprises: the TMDS receiver 12 for receiving a video signal via the digital signal transfer bus 31, and for receiving an HDCP authentication request via the DDC bus 32; an access monitoring means 16 for monitoring the access to the DDC bus 32 in accordance with the HDCP authentication request; and a CPU 14 for controlling the access monitoring means 16. The CPU 14 controls the power supply to the TMDS receiver 12 according the presence or absence of the access to the DDC bus 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
